On Tuesday, the US stock market ended the trade session day lower, with S&P 500 plunging 1.40%, NASDAQ Composite losing 1.57%, and Dow Jones IA slumping 1.34% at the end, dragged majorly by technology, oil & gas, and consumer service sectors in the New York Stock Exchange.
The top performers on the Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 were Procter & Gamble Company which surged 0.16% or 0.22 points to settle the trade at 139.61 and Snap-On Incorporation adding 2.92% to end the day at 156.05, respectively. Similarly, the top performer on the NASDAQ Composite was Pioneer Pow which gained a massive 205.73% to trade 4.800.
Similarly, worst losers on the three exchanges, i.e. DJIA, S&P 500, and NASDAQ Composite, were Boeing Company which shed 6.81% or 11.66 points to late trade at 159.54 in the session, Cimarex Energy which plunged 6.13% to end the day at 23.58, and Corbus Pharmaceuticals Holding which fell another 35.98% to late trade at 1.21 in the session.
Overall, the losers dominated the gainers by 1918 to 1156, with 102 settling the day unchanged on the NASDAQ index, and 1631 down and 1242 up on the NYSE, with 102 not changing.
The US Dollar Index Futures traded at 93.895, surging 0.37%.
