On Monday, the United Kingdom share market traded the day lower, with leading index, FTSE 100, plunging 0.59% as Chemical, Tobacco, and Fixed Line Telecom dragged stocks lower at the close in London.
Best performers on the index were EasyJet PLC which added 4.82% or 22.70 points to close the session at 493.40, Carnival PLC which rose 4.46% or 40.4 points to 947.2 in the late trade session, and Tui AG which surged 5.99% or 16.50 points to close the day at 291.80.
The biggest losers on the UK100 were DCC PLC which shed 2.21% or 118 points to close at 5230, Flutter Entertainment which fell 2.07% or 275 points to trade at 13000, and ITV PLC which plunged 2.33% or 1.72 points to late trade at 72.10 in the session.
In total, rising shares were more than falling ones by 1092 to 1047, with 234 stocks closing the session unchanged on the exchange.
Meanwhile, the US Dollar index futures fell 0.43%, to trade at 93.275, with EUR/GBP and GBP/USD rising 0.09% and 0.55% to trade at 0.9076 and 1.2983, respectively.
