Along with the recent fall of Nokia, the widely known maker of cellular phones in the 1990s until early 2000ss, the company is now seeking to capitalize on their comeback over the past year. According to the company, makers of Nokia phones are developing their devices and is now set to include a premium Android smartphone as well as a remake and a well-developed 8110, which was one of the company’s biggest selling phones of the 1990s.
In accordance to this, arranged by former Nokia executives who have licensed HMD Global, Nokia has aimed their focus on mid-priced Android smartphones since the company enters the smartphone market.
According to Florian Seiche, Chief Executive Office of HMD on Sunday, Nokia along with HMD has already sold an approximate number of over 30 million phones right after introducing 11 new phone models over the past year, he also added that Nokia will release two new smartphone models along with remake versions of three phones which were first offered last year.
Florian Seiche also mentioned that the company’s momentum last year boosted their confidence, making them develop a better strategy to extend their hawkish momentum this 2018. In addition, according to Counterpoint Research, Nokia phones skyrocketed in 2017 and was considered as the world’s number one seller of low-cost feature phones and marked the 11th spot in smartphones. Counterpoint Research also indicated that on a combined basis, Nokia now ranks as the number 6 mobile phone seller worldwide.
