Thursday rang in with a surprise when the camera manufacturer FujiFilm Holdings Corp jumped into making vaccines for the coronavirus pandemic after it inked a deal with VLP Therapeutics (US-based firm), that formulates vaccines.
In a statement, both companies said that the Japanese company would utilise its infrastructure, technology, manufacturing facilities and handle development.
Reportedly, the Japanese agency had selected candidate from the VLP’s RNA-based vaccine for its medical research and development.
The biotech company has involved a Japanese drug research subsidiary which is indulged with universities and government bodies.
Interestingly, the FujiFilm is rapidly making its inroads in the healthcare market.
