FTSE 100 ends slightly high; rises 0.04%

On Tuesday, the UK stock market ended the trade session day higher, with FTSE 100 surging 0.04% at the end, dragged majorly by travel & leisure, automobile and parts, and fixed-line telecom sectors in the London.

The top performers on the ‘UK top 100’ index were Tui AG gaining 9.61% or 27.50 points to close the session at 313.70, EasyJet Pvt. Ltd. Co. adding 8.24% or 41.20 points to late trade at 541.40, and Rolls-Royce Holdings PLC rising 21.56% or 26.60 points to settle the day at 150.00.

Similarly, worst gainers on the exchange were Rentokil Initial PLC which fell 3.65% or 19.80 points to settle the day at 523, Croda International slumping 2.75% or 174 points to trade at 6152, and Ocado Group PLC which shed 8.88% or 237 points to late trade at 2431.

Overall, the gainers dominated the losers by 1344 to 848, with 162 settling the day unchanged on the market. The US Dollar Index Futures traded at 93.550, surging 0.01%, with EUR/GBP and GBP/USD rising 0.27% and falling 0.23% to 0.9100 and 1.2948, respectively in the same order.
