FB suspends ads services ahead of US elections

To curb widespread rumour-mongering ahead of the US elections that can anyway manipulate results and are subject to invalidation, the Facebook Inc and its subsidiary Instagram banned video and photo ads that may promote fraud on Wednesday.

Notably, many ads are meandering around calling the US elections and voting invalid. They are susceptible to cause harm to the method. In a blog post, the social media giant owner announced the new set of rules. It came in addition to other restrictions that claimed premature election victory.

The step has been initiated after the US President in his first televised debate with rival Joe Biden stated that the November 3 elections could be rigged.
