On Thursday, Canada shares market ends the day 1.87% up after the industrial, material, and healthcare sector surged, dragging the S&P/TSX Composite high at the close in Toronto.
The best shares on the S&P/TSX Composite were Cronos Group which gained 1.01 points or 13.87% to close the session at 8.29, Lightspeed POS Inc was up 12.85% or 5.84 points to 51.29 in late trade, and Aurora Cannabis Incorporation which added 1.960 points or 33.68% to settle the day at 7.78.
The worst losers on the S&P/TSX Composite were TMX Group Limited which shed 4.33 points or 3.25% to settle at 129, Enerplus Corporation losing 0.07 points or 2.92% to end at 2.33, and Badger Daylighting Limited which declined 4.50 points or 11.07% to close the session at 36.15 in late trade.
Overall, rising shares dominated the market with gainers outnumbering the losers by 791 to 209, with 108 shares ending unchanged on the exchange. Meanwhile, CAD/USD and CAD/EUR were 0.75% up and 0.07% down, at 0.7666 and $0.6483, respectively.
