French company Bouygues posted a lower-than-anticipated operating loss on Thursday. The report envelopes the reports of the first half. The Covid-19 pandemic floundered the business of the conglomerate badly.
The current operating loss of the company amounts to $156.10 million (132 million euros) for the first half. It reflects a decline of 585 million euros on a year-on-year comparison.
It is noticeable that a team of nine analysts assembled by the conglomerate had predicted a loss of 336 million euros.
Meanwhile, Bouygues hasn’t released any financial targets for the current year 2020. However, the company is hopeful of packing profitable result in the second half of the year.
