The launch of iPhone 12 from the world’s biggest and best brand received mixed reactions from China on Wednesday. Some buyers are elated and lined up to grab their piece of the 5G enabled handset, while others are waiting for a launch from its rivals (Huawei) to for drawing a better deal.
Apple’s much-anticipated smartphone model has got released at a time when China’s homegrown brands like Xiaomi and Huawei have already rolled out high-end 5G phones that are compatible with in-house mobile telecom networks of the country.
Interestingly, the tag iPhone12 trended on China’s social media site Weibo with over six billion views.
iPhones will be available from October 16 onwards in China. The starting price is slated to be 631 pounds (mini version).
