Jeff Bezos owned Amazon on Monday stated that the e-commerce giant took a big leap in Brazil. The company wants to take advantage of the COVID-19 situation that is compelling for people to depend on online deliveries.
Amazon has come up with three logistic centres for easing the job and expanding the operational and circulation markets. Interestingly, Brazil is the biggest South American economy and covering the market would make the prospect of the company formidable to beat for other players.
The latest units have been deployed at the capital city Brasilia, Rio Grande do Sul, and Minas Gerais.
Amazon has been operating in the country since 2012, and it is the biggest expansion in Brazil since then. It will expand the might of the company by 807,000 square feet, aka Seventy-five thousand square meters.
As per the company statement, the move will generate around 1500 direct vacancies.
