On Monday, the UK division of Germany based discount supermarket, Aldi, reported opening one hundred new stores across Britain in between 2020 and 2021. The company said that it would invest around 1.3B pounds over the upcoming two years after reporting a 49% gain in 2019 profits.

The move by the fifth largest discount supermarket group of the UK came in alignment with its long term objective to have 1200 stores by 2025.
Meanwhile, the firm also reported producing 4000 further new jobs, above to the 3000 jobs created this year already.
